Current emotional state : Happy!

Hey everyone! I want to start out with much gratitude. I am literally overwhelmed by the response I received due to my last post. You have all encouraged me more than you could ever know! It seriously touched my heart to read every comment. This situation has not been easy, but reading these wonderful comments of encouragement has helped tremendously. So thanks to each and everyone of you! It means so much.

On another note, this week has been crazy and exciting. I have (3) big stories to discuss! First off, since I completed my first 5k and enjoyed it so much, I have decided that I want to run harder, run faster, and run stronger. I have been a bit of a weakling for a while, so I'm really trying to change that. I am participating in a Running for Beginner's Challenge that I found on pinterest. I  finished week 2 today, and while that's probably not a HUGE accomplishment to most people, I am super proud! My body hasn't been sore from it, it's all in the lungs. I run out of breath so easily, it's embarrassing! I hope that gets better each week.

The second event in my life at the moment is that I think
I have finally found a church to get involved with! After visiting so many, I was beginning to get discouraged. About two months ago I met two guys at the gym. They were extremely friendly and have kept up with my 5k training progress. Anyways, after just a few times talking, they invited my sister and me to visit their church. Well, after many excuses, we finally went. I don't know why visiting churches is so difficult! This church is amazing. The friendliest group of young people I have ever, and I literally mean EVER, been around. Last night there was a Bible study for just young women, and it was seriously amazing. I couldn't be happier about it!

The third story I want to share is that I have applied for the Big Brother Big Sister program, to be a mentor to a little girl. I am beyond excited about this opportunity. I have really been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and I think this could just turn into something great.

I'll stop rambling now. I'm just ecstatic about these life changes that are happening! :) I hope you all have had a wonderful week and have an awesome weekend!

I'm so glad that you're at the happiest time of your life. And yes you should be proud of yourself because you live your life by doing things you just mentioned.I think living our life is the greatest gift and accomplishment we can give to ourselves. And that's something we should be proud of!

Let's live!

I'm so proud of you for accomplishing these goals, for facing your fears. I know a lot of the things you've been doing lately have been way outside your comfort zone, but you've stepped up and done them, and that's awesome! More than anything, I'm so excited and thankful to see you so happy. I love ya!

@Niken, you are exactly right. It has taken me a long time to realize this, but we only get once life...one chance to be everything we want to be! We have to do it now. The present is all we've got!

@Jennifer, thank you! I am really excited to be moving towards these goals that I want to accomplish. :)
