This week...

Within the last week I have had a bit of a roller coaster. My week off started out splendidly...I found out that my favorite band, needtobreathe, was coming to Alabama. I didn't care that the concert was 2 and a half hours away, I was going! And I did. My friend and I spent the night there, and attended the concert. It was wonderful! I had never seen a band so passionate about their music before. I will certainly be watching their tour dates for another nearby show.

After the concert, we hit the mall and did some shopping. That was a lot of fun, of course. I spent too much money, as I always do. The mall was already playing Christmas music and the Christmas decorations were up. This, as they planned, made me buy more. I am completely and utterly in the Christmas spirit now. This is my favorite time of the year! Love it....although I haven't brought out my Christmas music just yet.

Onto the downside of the week, my sweet kitty-cat has been struggling for a couple of weeks with his paws. They have been swollen, red, and leaking (gross, I know...) So today, I decided it was time to take him to the vet. The news was completely unfortunate. The doctor said it was probably a form of cancer, and basically the only thing to do is to wait for it to get worse and put him to sleep. This has upset me more than I thought possible. I've been crying on and off all day. I know it's ridiculous to be so attached to an animal, but I feel almost like he's my baby. I love him and I can't imagine having to put him to sleep. People have called me a crazy cat lady for a while, and now I know it's true!

Anyway, I feel like this post is very incoherent and probably sounds like a 5 year old wrote it, so I shall stop now.

Hello! I found you through your beautiful button on someone else's blog. I'm your newest follower :)

It's not at all ridiculous to be so close to your pet, I'm so sorry to hear about his paws :( I have 2 small dachshunds and I just don't know what I'm going to do when the time comes for them to go :( I hope he's not in any pain <3

I am so so sorry about your cat. It is not at all ridiculous to be upset - I cried for days when my cat died and if anything happened to my pup I would be crushed. Pets are more than just animals, they become a part of the family. I will be praying for you. But yay for your trip to see needtobreathe - I love their music and think they would be awesome live. {btw, I nominated you for a blogger award}

YOu have a BEAUTIFUL blog. I love the quotes on the left, they're amazing.

As for your kitty, I am so sorry. I lost mine suddenly earlier this year and my husband and I took it really hard. Just like you getting bad news for my animal broke our hearts!
