Another Seven Off...

This week, I had the opportunity to spend time with the people I like the very best! On Friday, I went down to the country and visited my grandmother, who is now living in a nursing home. She lives far from our home, so it is difficult to go see her. I hate to admit that it's been as long as it has. She seemed to be doing well though, which was encouraging to me. I quickly realized that I should definitely make time to see her though. Nobody knows how long we have with our loved ones, and I don't want to have regrets because I didn't spend time with her. My dad also went with us to visit her, which was shocking. My dad has Alzheimers and he hardly ever leaves the house. He went with us to visit his mother, and then afterwards went to dinner with my sister and I. For most people, that sounds like nothing. But I was truly thanking God that my dad was able to spend some time with us. It was a great time.

On Saturday, I reunited with my friends Roopa and Sarah. It had been a while since the 3 of us had done anything together. Roopa recently moved about an hour away for her job, and while that doesn't sound very far, it is hard to make time to get together often. Life is just so busy, and schedules are always conflicting! It was a lot of fun just to hang out again, reminiscing about old times, and of course, taking pictures!
Sarah, me, and Roopa.

Sunday morning, I went to church, which was great. I am still really enjoying the new church we have been visiting, and am hoping to continue getting involved. I think it could definitely help me to deepen my relationship with Christ and also help me make some friends with other people, also trying to grow in Him.

Yesterday and today have been spent cleaning and cooking. Basically just getting things done before I have to head back to work! Tomorrow starts another rotation of 7 long days. Please, keep your fingers crossed they go by quickly and preferably easily!

Sounds like a fun weekend! Its so hard to get together with friends when you get older, everyone gets so busy. I know for me and my besties we have to schedule everything, and now that one of them moved cross country it's been harder!

It was a very fun weekend! :) And you are absolutely correct. It is so very difficult to hang out when everyone is so busy! Aw, I know that your friend being so far away makes it so much more difficult! Thank goodness for blogger and facebook! I don't know how I'd keep in touch with anyone without it.

I'm so glad you had a great weekend and got to spend it with people who are important to you!! I feel like time goes so quickly and I sometimes get too busy to see my friends, especially since all of them live far away.

And I'm so glad you got to see your grandmother! My grandmother is not doing so well these days and I'm worried that I haven't been to visit her enough. I need to find time to get to Arizona to see her because I'm not sure how much time we have left.

Hoping the week went quickly for you!

Hi Elizabeth! Yes, it is so hard to get together with friends...especially when you aren't close in location!

I am so sorry to hear that your grandmother is ill. It is certainly hard to get together with family also. Life is just so busy, and distance makes it even harder. I really hope you have the opportunity to visit her soon!
